"When a soul recognises the will of God and shows a readiness to submit to it entirely, then God gives Himself to such a soul and renders it most powerful succour under all circumstances." - Rev. Jean-Pierre de Caussade

Our Beach Vacation

Since I spent the time creating a photo book on Shutterfly, I figured it'd be much easier to just share it on here instead of posting individual pictures. I love to scrapbook and would love to pick up that hobby again, but heck, it would take me forever to finish these days! I've made it a goal to keep up with pictures now that Landon is here, so a photo book is the next best option. It sure helped that I had a code for a free book. :)

Here ya go! Our week in Destin...and Landon's first beach vacation!

Our little cutie

I promise I didn't forget about this blog. We were in Destin all last week, so I've been catching up on housework and everything the last few days. This week I'm attempting to get into a routine, now that Landon is starting to settle into a schedule (finally!). But now he's going through a growth spurt, which of course would happen when I'm trying to get more organized. Right? Right.

Updates are coming, I promise, but I wanted to share a few pictures from this month. I'm telling you, this boy is just too cute sometimes...
The first time he grabbed a toy!
Marley is always close by, I tell ya

This was yesterday!

Landon started losing his hair, is getting a little chunky, and loves to talk. Man, I love him. :)

I'm baaack

Hi. I've been meaning to write for awhile, but life has a way of getting crazy. I think I am going to keep blogging, but I'm still hesitant about posting details about things. So I'm trying to not worry about what people think. Lord, help me.

Landon is certainly growing, and Logan and I are just so in love with our little boy. We talk all the time about everything that's happened in the last 3 years, and now we have a super cute baby that made it all worth it. Praise God for all of his wonderful blessings.

I'm hoping to post many pictures next week, because I realized I never posted any from Landon's first weekend trip like I said I would. And now we have pictures from his first beach vacation to share. :) So that is my goal for the next couple of weeks - share pictures!

I know I owe y'all an update on things too, so that will be coming. Next week. This week I'm [still] taking a break! I just wanted to say I'm not giving up on this blog just yet. Hopefully everyone is still tuning in!

Here are a few pictures from the last few weeks...these are from my phone, but I have WAY more on our camera. You'll see. :)

It's been awhile

Why hello there. I know it's been awhile since I've posted, and honestly, I was considering shutting down this blog altogether (still under consideration actually), because lately Logan and I feel like people are scrutinizing every. little. thing. said on here. I wish that was an exaggeration.

Of course there was also Hurricane Isaac that threw a wrench into things. And for those wondering, our house is totally fine and we are safe. God is good!

I do realize that posting details about our life for everyone to see will bring both wanted and unwanted feedback, but I never thought it would be such a source of stress. Seriously. I avoided posting for so long because I am SO TIRED of people making assumptions and questioning the decisions we have made. [For those of you who are so confused right now, let me just say that most of our feedback is not given via posted comments on here.]

I had originally started a list of things to clarify, but for some reason I feel like it may do harm than good. So I deleted it.

And that is exactly why I don't even know if I should continue writing on here - I feel like the tiniest thing will be misconstrued. Sigh.

Many of you read this to keep updated with our family, and I love that, especially since many of you live far away and don't get to see Landon much (some of you haven't met him yet and I hope we can change that soon!). So I'm sorry to all of you if we choose not to post anything anymore.

Maybe we'll feel differently in a few days, and maybe not. We shall see.
